About the Reviewers

Mikhail Berlyant is a data warehousing veteran. He has been a data developer since the late '70s. Since 2000, he has led data systems, data mining, and data warehouse teams at Yahoo and Myspace.

Mikhail is currently a senior vice president, technology at Viant Inc. (a Time Inc. company), a people-based advertising technology company that enables marketers to plan, execute, and measure their digital media investments through a cloud-based platform. At Viant, Mikhail has led the migration of a petabytes-sized data warehouse to Google Cloud and currently is focusing on self-serve/productivity tools for BigQuery/Google Cloud Platform.

Mikhail is a data enthusiast and helps others as time allows. He is a Google developer expert (GCP, BigQuery). His Chrome extension for BigQuery (BigQuery Mate) was adopted in his company as well as across the world by BigQuery users with great feedback, including from Google and BigQuery in particular.

He loves working with developers and helping them succeed. He loves sharing his knowledge and experiences with others and can be often found answering questions on Stack Overflow, where, in the last 2 years, he has answered more than 1,200 questions and has been the top Google GigQuery answerer for the last 12 months.

Jason Morris is a systems and research engineer with over 18 years of experience in system architecture, research engineering, and large data analysis. His primary focus is machine learning with TensorFlow, CUDA, and Apache Spark. Jason is also a speaker and a consultant for designing large-scale architectures, implementing best security practices on the cloud, creating near-real-time image detection analytics with deep learning, and developing serverless architectures to aid in ETL.

His most recent roles include solution architect, big data engineer, big data specialist, and instructor at Amazon Web Services. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer of Next Rev Technologies.

Ruben Oliva Ramos is a computer systems engineer from Tecnologico de Leon Institute, with a master's degree in computer and electronic systems engineering and a specialization in teleinformatics and networking from the University of Salle Bajio in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. He has more than 5 years of experience of developing web applications to control and monitor devices connected with Arduino and Raspberry Pi, using web frameworks and cloud services to build Internet of Things applications.

He is a mechatronics teacher at the University of Salle Bajio and teaches students of the master's degree in the design and engineering of mechatronics systems. Ruben also works at Centro de Bachillerato Tecnologico Industrial 225 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, teaching subjects such as electronics, robotics and control, automation, and microcontrollers on the Mechatronics Technician career course; he is a consultant and developer for projects in areas such as monitoring systems and datalogger data using technologies (such as Android, iOS, Windows Phone, HTML5, PHP, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, Angular, and ASP.NET), databases (such as SQLite, MongoDB, and MySQL), web servers (such as Node.js and IIS), hardware programming (such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Ethernet Shield, GPS, GSM/GPRS, and ESP8266), and control and monitor systems for data acquisition and programming.

Ruben is the author of the following books by Packt: Internet of Things Programming with JavaScript, Advanced Analytics with R and Tableau, and Raspberry Pi 3 Home Automation Projects.

He is also involved in monitoring, controlling, and acquiring data with Arduino and Visual Basic .NET for Alfaomega.
